So, I thought this would be good.
I am going to share some significant happening that caused me to follow Christ and something specific that “fuels” my drive to spread the Gospel. This is going to be a short blog because I would really like to get to know you all a little more.
My significant happening:
I can always remember going to church as a boy, even some of my youth. I got away from the church and lead a very destructive lifestyle. I was involved with gangs, drugs (man, did I get high on a lot of stuff), theft, violence, destructive tendencies and sex (I’m making a long story short). Nearing 19 years old, I had a traumatic experience with cocaine: I overdosed. My heart literally nearly exploded in my chest; a very uncomfortable feeling. After this, God sent people to me left and right and just started bringing my into Himself. I made a conscience decision to follow Him and get baptized; that was the essential turning point. When I made the decision to make God priority, not just some “nice” guy I can talk to when ever I want. Then, baptism enhanced the whole relationship. This was all about 9 years ago, with baptism following about 5 years ago.
What “fuels” my drive to spread the gospel:
To put it simply: many people are on the same path I was; a one way road to “H”, “E”, “double hockey stick” (aka, hell). I have a particular drive, and that is truth. I am passionate about truth, and absolute truth. Most everything I do stems from this reality. After this, I have a passion for people to understand that they can be more than what the world says they can be; that they can be more than conquerors in Christ; that God loves them like CRAZY; that they are more than a purposeless, meaningless hunk of matter that evolved over millions of years in to a thinking hunk of purposeless, meaningless matter.
People need to know they matter. They need to know they are loved. They need to know the truth. What’s your story?

Good to read that I am not alone, you know? I think the thing about testimonies is they all end the same way, but you always are stuck in disbelief that God could save someone as miserable as oneself.

Wow. That’s really powerful. Just more proof that Jesus still goes through the depths of Hell to bring us out. Thanks for sharing.
