pauseTo those who seek God’s will for their life

I have recently met with a friend of mine, who is a church planter. We got to talk about some things about life and the call of God. It was a great meeting and I really enjoyed his input. What I took out of this meeting was a loving and comforting encouragement to stay in the game. It was really good.

These past few years have been interesting one for me. I have experienced some significant events in life, some good, some not so good. Nevertheless, I believe God’s hand to be behind it all. The difficult thing for us is trying to fully comprehend the “why” in the events we experience. And as we know, Satan is always trying to manipulate the events of this world, so discernment is always a key factor in our following God’s will.

If you are currently, or have, experiencing a “silent” time in seeking God’s will, or direction, in your life, consider the following:

  • Even though you may be discouraged, God cares
  • Even though you may not hear clear direction, God sometimes speaks louder by not speaking at all
  • Even though events transpire in a way you least expect, God is still on the move and has not forgotten about you
  • Even though some people may not understand, you are nonetheless called and that is God’s business
  • If you still feel the burning and the passion, it’s there for a reason
  • Sometimes the next open door is the one leading to the silent room, where prayer is most personal
  • Your calling is a personal thing, don’t expect everyone to understand, simply remain focused on what you know Jesus has called you to

Do any of these resonate with you? Do you have other suggestions not listed here? If so, please share in the comments below! Let us know your experience(s) and how you came through them – or if you are still in one.
