Don’t Miss Out On These

For this Friday I thought I would provide you with a list of articles that you would do well to read.

In fact, if you read them you will gain access to the most protected knowledge in the world.

That’s right, these articles will make you super smart—smarter than all your peers and spiritually superior. . .

Okay, maybe not. But they are good articles! And you should read them!

So here they are. Read them all!

Get Media

At Media.SortingBeans.com

I have decided to add a “Media” section to this website, making it easier to tap into resources. This new addition—www.media.sortingbeans.com—will be for the sake of videos, podcasting, sermons, etc.

My purpose in this sub-domain is to provide more ways for people to grow in Christ through Visual Scriptural Interaction. You will find sermons, discussions, podcasts, and other categories of media to help cultivate learning Scripture and growth in Christ

If you are anything like me, you find yourself spending much time surfing the net, finding interesting media and videos to learn from.

That’s right, brace yourselves! This post is entirely random. So have a seat and grab some coffee..

Today is my third day off work from an injury lifting a large office desk. I’m going through some worker’s comp stuff… sheesh, make it go away!

My daughter is still in a sling from her injury of a broken collar bone.

School is going pretty well, but I sort of wished it was over.

I wonder if I should kick my coffee habit.

In Honor of Charlie Matthews

This post will be displayed for the entire week of 11/1-7/09 as an honor to the life and ministry of Charlie Matthews.

A friend has passed away, another child of God entering his inheritance in glory.
The sheer thought of his entrance into the glory of Christ brings longing for that same experience.
But the sheer thought of his departure brings sadness to many.
In the midst of sadness, I am inclined to think of how wonderful God is.
All of us are destined once for death—all of us.
What’s beautiful is that God chooses to give significance to this otherwise meaningless life; that within the time we have here on earth, it does not have to be purposeless and meaningless.
No matter the time of our departure, the beauty lies in the significance God gives, and how that flows out of self to others.
We may never know what legacy we leave, but everyone we touch will never forget.
Charlie Matthews left a legacy he never knew he was leaving.
I’m sure if he doesn’t know by now, he will very soon.
Therefore, in this short time you have here let your life be spent as loose change in the hands of God; for you never know when your departure comes.
Thank you Charlie for your life and ministry.
God bless you Matthews family.

Wow!

I stumbled upon this video the other day. I don’t know the author of the video, or of the background song, but there is definitely a message in here that resonates with me—big time.

Relief and Resources!

Relief because many working people have a 3 day weekend!

Resources because, well, you’ll see.

As I said in my last post, I’ve been a little busy and decided to make my time most useful by making my blog posting secondary to my other responsibility. I have had a great time, though, contributing to other blogger’s post comments. Such as explaining the doctrine of Limited Atonement. What fun! Read more
