The Author

I am a Jesus follower, husband, father, friend, author, college student, and blogger. . .

. . . pretty much in that order.

I am 33 years old, enjoy to spend time with friends and family, have conversations, read, write, teach the Bible, practice martial arts, and play worship music. I have been blessed to serve in various ministry leadership positions, which include: preaching/teaching, discipleship, pastoring, worship, small groups, outreach, baptism, students, and church planting. Currently I am enrolled full time at a local University working toward a ministry degree focused on Leadership and Biblical Studies.

I believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ is not something we must believe only to be saved and then move on to deeper things of Scripture. Instead, I believes the Gospel that saves sinners is the same Gospel that sanctifies the saved—a Christian LIVES on the Gospel! For this reason, I feel challenged to live a life of repentance, both from sin and from self-righteousness. I feel called to build and equip the Church, reach out to those who don’t know Jesus, and live authentically in Christ before others. My far-from-perfect state of following Jesus keeps me longing for a closer relationship with Him.

I am currently working on my first book, titled THINC About It: Reading Christ in Scripture. This should be expected to be available by early to mid 2012. Several other book ideas have surfaced in my MacBook’s hard drive. Some of them have quite a bit of work invested in them already. Expect to see more titles to come!
